Shopping Outfit

I'm a warm weather lover, which means I will hold onto summer for as long as I can. But the past few mornings have been undeniably chilly, so I pulled out a few long sleeved shirts.
When I went shopping the other morning I pulled on a favorite striped long sleeve shirt and paired it with some cutoffs. Long sleeves and shorts are such a cute combo, but there usually aren't a lot of opportunities to wear it. At least not without either being cold from the shorts, or hot from the sleeves.

Yeah, I totally just put my hair in a high pony tail and slipped into some Converse style shoes. I was just going shopping after all. ;)

Sunday Style

Ahh Sundays. I love them so. Usually a day of going to church and/or bible study, lounging around the house, eating good food, and dressing up. But what I love most is that the three of us almost always spend it together. Which, of course, makes it go by way to quickly. We always enjoy a Sunday while it lasts though.

My baby has been a teething fussy mess the past few days so I ended up spending all of the church service in the lobby. The nice big mirror out there made for perfect pictures, with my cutie pie, since he refused to let me put him down. He also discovered that he likes mirrors. :)

I had no time to think about what I was going to wear to church, so I just threw on my trusty button down dress (perfect for nursing babe) and since the weather was pretty cool, my cowboy boots.

Its hard capturing his smile because he's so wiggly. My apologies for the light reflecting off his head so badly.:D

Surprise Party

Saturday a few of my other siblings and I drove down to my sisters house for her surprise birthday party. When she got off work her husband instructed her to walk in the front door, where we all yelled "Surprise" at her. Great fun!

It was just a casual evening of pizza and dirt cake, family favorites. But of course looking cute goes with everything. I hadn't worn this polka dot skirt yet and was dying too. So I paired it with a tank and my loose bow top.

Those bows! <3

And my elephant necklace, again. You could say I kinda love it.

The pencil style skirt worked great with the loose top. A loose or flowy skirt would probably give the outfit a frumpy look.

White and Blue with Brown

This outfit tho! Its pretty much been my absolute favorite outfit this summer. The summery white shorts, classic gingham button down, and touches of brown.
I've been keeping my hair up in a sock bun a lot recently. Its short so it falls over my shoulder in the baby's face all the time. So annoying. But thankfully its gotten long enough that I can get most of it in a bun. Today I did braids on the side, just for a little difference.

I LOVE elephants. Right now I'm rather obsessed. So my husband got this for my birthday gift. He's a doll. :)

Just a little tuck in the front keeps things from looking sloppy. I wish I had discovers the power of shirt tucking when I was younger.

Casual Mommy Meeting Outfit

There are things that you never think you'll end up doing. Not that you specifically mean not to do them. They just simply never cross your mind.
Like going to a Moms and Babies meeting. A friend told me about a local meeting for breastfeeding moms and babies and I've started going. Its nice to be around other people who are going through/doing the same things as you. Plus there are some awfully cute babies out there!

This is what I wore to our Friday meeting.
I don't usually wear T-shirts, especially not when going places. But this one is fun and perfect for a mom and babies meeting. So I decided to try styling a T-shirt to look cute and put together, but still casual.
I think adding accessories is probably the key to making a T-shirt look nicer.

 My Baby Eats Local. :)

They say V neck T-shirts are perfect for nursing in, but for us more "endowed" Ladies, that doesn't seem to be the case. So I just went with my normal pull the shirt up method.

A Casual Wednesday

As a breastfeeding mama, every outfit I put on has to be nursing friendly. And honestly, pretty much every specifically nursing top I've seen just wasn't very stylish, and definitely not my style. And me....Well, everything I wear has to have some fashion to it. Unless I'm pregnant and freezing cold, in which case I'll probably be in yoga pants and a blanket. But that's a different story.
I thought this was going to make finding stylish clothing even harder, until I found these super cheap spaghetti strap tanks at Walmart that are perfect for nursing. Just put one on and put a normal shirt over it. When you need to feed the baby, pull top shirt up and tank top down, because these tank's straps are stretchy enough to pull down. I love this option because it shows minimal skin. And I can wear most of my shirts. Win!

Anyway, my casual Wednesday outfit was as simple as afore mentioned easy layers and skinny jeans. But, the unique part of it was the blue and pink I paired together. You can see my pink statement necklace, and though they aren't very visible in the picture, I was wearing pink dangle earings.

When I was little....very little, as in, 6-8, I use to love to put pink and blue together. But it isn't often I do that now. It definitely gave the outfit a girly touch.

And my aviator style glasses are a must for a sunny day.

My favorite part of the outfit? The back of my shirt. I just love the little bows!
